Send your students to us!
A PRIVATE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM that provides an engaged learning experience for students by using data-driven teaching methodologies to meet the growth potential of each student. Each case closely monitored by an on-site BCBA. Each of our therapists are RBT certified or currently in the
process of receiving their certification.
This program allows families to send their child out of district to attend our private school as a student. Ask your district about "out of district" placement into Compass Academy.
In Sept. 2018, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services (OSERS) unveiled its newest initiative in meeting the educational needs of students with learning disabilities.
According to OSERS, "Rethink" means everyone questions everything to ensure nothing limits any student from being prepared for what comes next. That begins with acknowledging the unique needs of each child and then finding the best ways to prepare each individual for successful careers and meaningful life.
"Rethinking special education will require an unwavering commitment to address barriers that stand in the way of improving opportunities and outcomes for each child, and make the needed changes at the federal, state, and local levels."- Johnny W. Collett, Assistant Secretary, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, US Dept. of Education, OSERS Spotlight.
The goal of Compass Academy is to shape each student's learning experience by teaching the specific skills needed for each student to access their education.
Teaching methods, based based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), are used to instruct students in the areas of language, life skills, mathematics, movement, visual art, music, social interaction, language arts, and motor skills.
