AT COMPASS, WE BELIEVE IN NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
learning. By taking a creative approach, we offer multiple opportunities for learners to practice new skills in socially meaningful ways.
We recognize that in order for learning to be effective, it must be applied to all aspects of the learner's life. Our philosophy is that a team centered approach is best. By offering collaboration between home, school, and community partners, treatment goals are best achieved and maintained.
Further, we believe, life skills should be taught early
in order to foster independence. By offering direct
instruction, in the natural environment, we teach
real-life skills that promote generalization and
maintenance across time and settings. Whether
it's intervention for challenging behaviors, toilet
training, or teaching recreational or social skills,
we target our therapy goals to impact an individual
in meaningful ways that will continue to promote
safety, independence, and positive relationships.
